Galway afterglow
Galway's skyline reduced to a few dark shapes under a strong orange sunset.
Field note
Why I kept it.
This was taken from a Galway multi-storey near the docks, possibly the Middle Street car park, though I am not certain enough to label it more precisely. Most evenings in Galway are more restrained than this. When the light does break properly, the change is obvious and usually brief.
The city is nearly black in the frame, but the dome, tower and radio mast are enough to locate it. I like that balance: very little detail on the ground, almost all of the information in the sky.
